Privacy Policy
VibeArena.Club ("VibeArena," "we," "us," or "our") operates the VibeArena.Club website, Android application, and related services (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: email address, password in hashed form, display name, username, selected gender option, and account role or verification status.
- Profile information: profile and cover images, biography, website, GitHub handle, optional phone number, the location text you choose to enter, technology tags, status preferences, and privacy settings.
- Content and communications: posts, short videos ("Vibes"), images, Volumes, threads, comments, reactions, reports, direct messages, voice notes, chat attachments, and other content you create or upload.
- Support and safety information: messages sent to us, reports, appeals, and information needed to investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, or policy violations.
Information collected when you use the Service
- Activity information: follows, likes, shares, saves, message and notification status, contest or community participation, and other interactions with features and content.
- Device and network information: IP address, device identifier used for trusted-device security, push-notification token, platform, browser or app information, request logs, and diagnostic or security events.
- Approximate sign-in location: we may derive an approximate city and country from an IP address to alert you about a sign-in from a new device. We do not request or collect your device's precise GPS location.
- Call information: call participants, type, status, and timing. Voice and video are transmitted to the other participant using real-time communication technology; network connection services may process IP addresses needed to establish the call.
Information from connected services
If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive the identifiers and basic account details that provider makes available with your permission, such as your email address, name, avatar, and provider account ID. The provider's own privacy policy also applies to its processing.
2. Device permissions
The Android app asks for permissions only when relevant to a feature:
- Photos and videos: to let you choose, upload, view, download, or save media.
- Camera and microphone: for voice/video calls, voice notes, and media capture you initiate.
- Notifications, foreground service, wake lock, and vibration: to deliver message and incoming-call alerts reliably.
- Bluetooth: to use connected audio devices during calls.
We do not upload your photo library, activate your camera or microphone, or record a call merely because a permission was granted. Media is accessed when you choose it or use the relevant feature. You can change permissions in Android settings.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and operate accounts, profiles, feeds, messaging, calls, uploads, notifications, and community features;
- authenticate users, recognize trusted devices, prevent unauthorized access, and send account or security emails;
- personalize and organize content and show interaction counts;
- moderate content, review reports, enforce our rules, prevent spam or fraud, and protect users and the Service;
- maintain, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve reliability and performance;
- communicate with you about the Service; and
- comply with law and protect legal rights.
When an authorized administrator runs an automated engagement campaign, the title or caption of the selected public content may be sent to our configured artificial-intelligence service provider to produce context-aware comments. Do not place sensitive personal information in public captions.
4. How information is disclosed
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information:
- To other users and the public: according to the feature you use and your settings. Public profiles and public content can be viewed and shared by others. Direct messages and calls are shared with their participants.
- To service providers: vendors that support cloud hosting and storage, database and cache infrastructure, media delivery, email, push notifications (including Google Firebase), Google or GitHub sign-in, IP-based sign-in alerts, real-time call connectivity, and configured AI processing. They process information to provide services to us under applicable agreements.
- For safety and legal reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, investigate abuse, protect a person from harm, secure the Service, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- During a business change: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
- With your direction: when you ask us to share information or connect a third-party service.
5. Public content, messages, and calls
Information you post publicly may be copied, reshared, or retained by other people. Direct messages and call media are not public, but direct messages are stored by our systems and are not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Call audio or video is delivered to call participants and may travel through connectivity infrastructure when a direct connection is unavailable.
6. Retention
We keep account information while your account is active and retain content and activity as needed to provide the Service. Content you delete may remain for a limited time in backups, caches, reports, or records needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary with the type of information and the reason it is held. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer reasonably needed, unless law requires longer retention.
7. Your choices, deletion, and rights
You can review or change many profile details and privacy settings in the Service, remove content using available controls, control Android permissions and notifications in device settings, and disconnect by logging out.
You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data from Edit Profile in the app or through our public account deletion page. If you cannot sign in, email administrator@vibearena.club from the email address linked to your account and include your VibeArena username. We may need to verify your identity. Some information may be retained where required for security, legal compliance, or the rights of others.
8. Security
We use safeguards designed to protect information, including hashed passwords, encrypted network transport, access controls, signed media access where appropriate, trusted-device checks, and rate limits. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your password and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. International processing
VibeArena and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate measures for international transfers.
10. Children
The Service is intended for people aged 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. We will change the date at the top and provide additional notice when appropriate. Your continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy.
